The Worthy
Causes
Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization based in
Rhode Island, operates for the purpose of raising funds for local,
state and national 501(c)(3) through online sales of new or gently-used
items donated or provided by individuals, businesses and other groups.
We focus on progressive,
small 501(c)(3) organizations that work
with issues such as animal welfare, social justice, gay and lesbian
issues, domestic violence awareness, environmentalism, education,
women’s issues
and the like. We can also work with 501(c)(3) organizations that
receive
donations, such as libraries, that receive donations they may not be
able to use. We help these 501(c)(3) organizations by reselling their
donated items for them on their behalf. We do this at no cost to the
501(c)(3) nonprofits we work with.
Our
goal is to help these
nonprofits grow, and help concerned citizens and businesses connect
with nonprofits. Funds raised through our efforts help support the
programs these 501(c)(3) provide, and our
program brings a whole new level of regional and national exposure for
these groups. Our efforts also have an environmental impact by keeping
usable items out of landfills. As
as 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, your donation to us is
tax deductible. We are a non-salaried, all-volunteer organization.
